Judithe Lynch Obituary

Judithe A. Lynch

Judithe A. Lynch, age 79, of Toledo, OH died June 2, 2023, at St. Anne's Hospital. Judy was born September 30, 1943, in Toledo to the late Curtis and Alice "Betty" (Bauslin) Etchen. She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1961 and attended Ohio University. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Sylvania Southview High School and with the Fifth Third Bank Trust Department. She also worked as a realtor with GIO and other agencies.

An avid and skilled golfer, Judy played regularly at Highland Meadows Golf Club and Olde Hickory Country Club in Ft. Myers, Florida. She earned many golf tournament victories on her own, as well as playing with her husband, Gordon. More recently, she enjoyed playing Mahjong and dining out with her friends, often including her favorite, coconut shrimp.

She was so proud of her three grandsons, often found bragging about them and enjoyed engaging with them. She also delighted in being a prankster with her great- niece, Emily.

Judy had an engaging personality, coupled with an amazing smile and laugh, that gave her the ability to turn a stranger into her new best friend. She was very sociable and loved a good party. Judy also enjoyed anything sweet, especially chocolate, and grabbing a coffee and donut with her brother, Bob.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gordon Lynch; daughter, Amy (Pat) Mueller and their children, Jack, Teddy and Will; brother, Bob (Peg) Etchen; several nieces and nephews; and stepsons, James (Debbie) and Jeffrey (Leah) Lynch. Judy was preceded in death by her son, Scott Baughman.

All services will be private.

Very sorry to hear of Judy's passing. I golfed with her on the Ladies Public League. She always made me laugh, up beat, a wonderful person. Lots of fun. Prayers to you all of you. Judy will be missed.

I cannot express my sadness and shock to hear about Judy's passing. I was a close friend at Whitmer and we've connected since we graduated. I live in CA and whenever I was back in Toledo, we would connect. She always made me laugh, even as we sat together at the last reunion. She will be very much missed.!!! Prayers for the entire family.

We are so sorry and shocked to hear of Judy's passing.
We had many good times together at Olde Hickory!
Our mahjong group will not be the same without her.
May God comfort Gordy and all Judy's family.

Gordy, Bob, and Peg
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Judy was a great neighbor and friend. She was there for me and "Donny" (as she called my husband) at a time we really needed her. I'm so glad to have known her!
