Judy Covrett Obituary

Judy Covrett

Judith Ann Covrett, 67, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2024, while visiting friends in Hermann, Missouri. Judy was born on June 29, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Dorothy (Meranda) Covrett. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1975. For much of her adult life, she lived in a close-knit community of friends and neighbors in Gulfport, Florida.

Judy was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. An ardent animal lover, she worked as a veterinary technician, and was a proud dog mom to Murphy and Rikki. She was particularly fond of dachshunds, and loved to share funny pictures of the cute dogs with her family and friends. Judy loved art, namely Vincent van Gogh, and the glamorous stars of Old Hollywood, especially Lucille Ball, Lauren Bacall, and Humphrey Bogart.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Marsha (Covrett) Kusner of Toledo, Ohio; brother, Craig (Susan) Covrett of Monclova Township, Ohio; brother, Ronald (Kathy) Covrett of Fairview Park, Ohio; and aunt, Carol Covrett of Sylvania, Ohio. She is also survived by her niece, Ashley Covrett; and nephews, Ben, Nick, and Matt Kusner, Mark and Peter Covrett, and Casey and Chris Covrett. Judy was a doting great-aunt to her two grandnieces and two grandnephews.

Judy's family and friends will always remember her as a free spirit with a playfully mischievous sense of humor. Our Juju will remain forever young in our hearts. A private funeral service and interment will be held at Toledo Memorial Park.
