Karen Ryan-Versansky Obituary

Karen Ryan-Versansky

Karen Ryan-Versansky, 73, a resident of Toledo, Ohio, and former resident of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, completed her earthly journey on February 28, 2025.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Cyril Versansky, in 2022. One of six children, Karen was also preceded in death by her parents, Al and Leota Koller; and her sister, Cheryl.

Karen was a certified green thumb gardener. She found solace and creativity in tending her lawns, patios, flower beds, containers, and vegetable gardens in Ohio and Florida. Many of us actively sought her expert advice.

Karen is survived by her two daughters, Heather Ryan (Campbell) and Cari Ann Ryan; six grandchildren, Steven, Taylor, Tyler, Connor, Kaitlyn, Olivia, and their families; her late sister Cheryl's daughters, Dawn and Andrea, and their families; her four siblings and their families, George (Diane), Joyce (Tom), Teri (Ray), and Al. Karen is also survived by some of her many dear, close, friends she gathered along the way. She cherished her friendships, which sustained and fed her soul until the end.

All of Karen's family and friends who miss her now express their love and wish her a peaceful, restful voyage on her next journey.

We were friends of Karen and Cy in Fort Myers Beach. They lived on the same road we did in Ebb Tide. We loved both of them. Karen always had a big smile and story. We really enjoyed the time we got to spend with her. She will be missed.
Sending prayers and condolences to her family.
