Kathleen Seery Obituary

SEERY Kathleen G. (Freimark) Kathleen G. (Freimark) Seery, 82, of Oregon died Saturday, October 14, 2006, at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Kathleen was born to Alvin and Nora Freimark in Doster, MI and raised in the Graytown and Toledo area. She was a 1943 graduate of Scott High School and The Luella Cummings School for girls. During WW II, she entertained troops for the USO. Kate worked as a dental technician for Toledo area dental labs. In 1947, she married the love of her life, Michael J. Seery and they had two children. She stopped working at the labs to raise her family and help manage her husband's trucking business. Kathleen helped start the Oregon Blood donor program and was active in her children's activities including: Coy Mother's Club, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Rainbow Girls and many church groups. She spent time with migrant workers teaching them to sew. She started a monthly Senior Citizens dinner at First St. Marks Church. She entertained shut-ins as Gracie the Clown and served as Worthy Matron of Eastern Stars for several terms while living in North Carolina. She also volunteered for Hospice while living in the South. Kate was an excellent homemaker who cooked, canned and sewed everything she could get her hands on. Kathleen knew her bible and loved and served her Lord. She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband of nearly 60 years, Michael J., her loving son, Michael L. (Heidi Wyse), her favorite daughter, Juanita (Diana Burtscher), and the joy of her life, grandson, Michael K. to cherish her memory. Kathleen also leaves brothers, Gaillard, Robert and Howard and a sister, Marilyn O'Donnell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon from 2-9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. As she has given all her life, her last gift was her body, donated to M.U.O. Donations may be made to the Unity United Church building fund. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home, Hospice and friends who have helped Kathleen on her journey. Most of all, Dad, your children thank you for the great love and care you have given to Mom throughout her illness.

MY DEAREST FAMILY, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVED MY SISTER, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH I MISS HER. I ALREADY FEEL SUCH A LOSS, WE WILL NO LONGER BE THE 5 MUSKATEERS/ UNSINKABLE EVEN. SHE DID SO MUCH FOR ME ALL THROUGH MY LIFE, I COULD NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL YOU ALL OF IT. SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME, AND I AM SURE SHE WAS FOR SO MANY OTHERS. SHE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO TURN HER BACK ON PEOPLE IN NEED. THE LORD WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS, BECAUSE SHE WIL HELP TO ORGANIZE HIS PROJECTS. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. UNCLE MIKE, MICHAEL, HEIDI, NITA AND MIKEY:

SO SORRY ABOUT THE LOSS OF AUNT KATHLEEN. SHE WAS A STRONG LADY TO HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL SHE DID. I KNOW YOU WILL ALL MISS HER DEARLY.

I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER, AND MOST VIVID WAS HER LAUGHTER, AND DEPENDING ON WHAT SHE WAS DOING AT THE TIME, SHE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

I LOVED HAVING YOU ALL COME TO CONNECTICUT IN THE SUMMER, IT SEEMED LIKE VACATION FOR EVER AND WE ALL HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME.

I WISH I COULD BE WITH YOU UNCLE MIKE, BUT PLEASE KNOW IN MY HEART I AM THERE AND WILL BE HOLDING YOUR HAND ALL DAY.

I LOOK FORWARD TO OUR PHONE CALLS AND WE WILL HAVE MANY MORE.

YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND I WILL TALK TO YOU SOON.

I LOVE YOU

KATHIE
