Kay Zaleski Obituary

Kay L. Zaleski

Kay Lousie Zaleski, born in Toledo, Ohio on September 23, 1971 to Gregory and Harriett Zaleski, passed away on November 20, 2021 while surrounded by family at the ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Center. Kay was preceded in death by her father, (Gregory); and is survived by her mother, (Harriett); fiancé, (Edward); daughter, (Alex); son, (Tanner); and the countless friends and students she has touched throughout her life.

Although she died at the young age of 50, Kay lived a life full of adventure and excitement. Kay graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1989 and went on to join the Delta Chi Sigma philanthropic sorority from 1990 until it disbanded in 2005. Kay loved to travel, anything from a road trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras to a flight to Africa to save the cheetahs. Kay touched so many lives and will be remembered as a daughter, a mother, a lover, an artist, a writer, a performer, a teacher, a dancer. Kay was strong until the end and was so grateful for all the support she had from her friends and family at Mind, Body, Soul Fitness, the gym she helped to bring into being.

Now, Kay is finally able to be at peace and free of pain.

Memorial visitation will be held at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home (5300 Summit St.; Toledo, OH 43611) on Friday, December 3rd starting at 3 p.m., with the service beginning at 4 p.m. Directly following the service, we will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Mind, Body, Soul Fitness (5416 Summit St.; Toledo, OH 43611) for anyone who would like to join us.

I worked with Kay, many moons ago, at a Home Health Care agency. She was always positive and had a lot of spunk. So, sorry for your loss.

We always feel aggrieved when we lose somebody dear to us...but really we should feel blessed to have had the good fortune of having such a wonderful person in our lives for the time that we did. God's grace to us!
