Kevin Wilson Shanks

Kevin Wilson Shanks recently passed away December 9, 2020, at his home in Michigan. He was 61. He was born in 1958, the third child of six siblings to Doug and Joyce Shanks, and grew up in Sylvania, Ohio. He received a Master's degree in Audiology from the University of South Florida, and was a successful audiologist for over twenty years. He was the loving father of two children and grandfather to four grandchildren.

He had a love of all kinds of music and played the keyboard. He also loved art, good food and great conversation. He was known for his quick wit, his warm, compassionate spirit and his ability to get along with everybody.

He is survived by his two children, Lauren (Sam) Knight and Jeremy Shanks; four grandchildren, Madilynn, Cora, Samuel and Alena; his parents, Doug and Joyce Shanks; brother, Doug (Karin) Shanks; sister, Susan (Lawrence) Lear; sister, Amy (Troy) Kennedy; sister, Stacey (Matthew) Rall; and brother, David (Shannon) Shanks.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
