Kori Kirkbride Obituary

Kori Ann Kirkbride

February 12, 1973 -

July 3, 2024

It is with profound grief, the family of Kori Ann Kirkbride of Concord, California shares the passing of their Kori, who lost her brief, but very courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at the Kaiser East Bay Cancer Center in Oakland, CA. Kori endured the last several weeks with determination, grace, and bravery.

Kori was born to Genevieve and Willis Kirkbride Sr. in Toledo Ohio on February 12, 1973. She attended schools in Toledo and Columbus Ohio, and eventually moved to California to pursue her dreams. There, she met the love of her life, Kasia Kurzatkowska. Kori and Kasia had a wonderful loving life together, cut short too soon!

Kori spent most of her professional career in the entertainment and technology industries. She was employed by Salesforce; her position was Human-Centered Change Manager. She also worked for Acumen Solutions as a Change Manager, Twentieth Century Fox as Data Administration Manager, and was a successful Director Sales Operations at Premier Retail Networks and Technicolor.

While at Acumen Solutions Kori was given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent one the largest hotel networks, Hilton Hotels. She provided training and procedures to their individual locations all over the world. In a short period of time Kori visited England, Germany, India, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.

Kori was well known for her wisdom, knowledge, and gentle manner; always advancing, making us so proud.

Kori and Kasia loved to travel, and enjoyed vacationing to many special locations especially Cabo, Mexico. Kori loved flowers, candles and organizing their newly renovated backyard and swimming pool. Kori had a keen eye for style and shared it with love.

Kori was a loving wife, attentive daughter, sister, niece, cousin, auntie, friend to everyone. Kori was smart as a whip; she was able to get to the core of any issue and always kind in resolving it. She lit up the room with her infectious smile. Very perceptive, thoughtful, generous in all she did. She thought of everyone before herself. She loved her family and showed it in so many ways; you were lucky to be on her gift list.

Preceding Kori are her father Willis Kirkbride Sr; uncles, Jim and John Kirkbride.

Treasuring Kori's memory are her wife. Kasia; mother, Genevieve Geha Kirkbride; sister, Kimberly Kirkbride; brother, Willis (Marissa) Kirkbride; in-laws, Ala and Waldek Kurzatkowscy; uncles, Albert (Rose) Geha, Joseph (Fern) Geha; niece, Karmen Kirkbride; nephew, Nicholas Quackenbush. Kori loved her many cousins and friends that became family. Our grief is profound! In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Kori's name to the Leukemia Foundation with the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life to be announced.
