Norma:
I was sorry to hear about Kurt. I remember seeing him all the time when he worked in the Government Center and the last time I saw him was at a poetry reading at the coffee shop on Central near Douglas. When I was younger, I remember attending you and Kurt's wedding at your parents home. That was my first and last African wedding. It was beautiful. Embrace the time you had with him and let the memories keep you going. Take care of yourself.

Norma I don't know if you remember me, but my heartfelt sympathy goes to you and your family. My name is Mary Taylor, I was married to Russ Taylor, Kijana's mother. Kurt came to Russ' Memorial Service in October 2009, and spoke. He gave Kijana and me one of his writings, and some pictures. At that time, I would not have envisioned having to send this note. I'm so sorry. I believe that I remember you drawing pictures for Kijana when he was a very small boy, we were living on Indiana Avenue. He is now 41 years old. This saddens me so much. I will be praying for you and your family, and remember this, that God Loves you, and always cares for us, and he always holds us in the palms of his hands. My prayer will be that you receive the peace of God, and I will hold you in my heart and prayers always. I Love You, God Loves you, and hold on to that in the days to follow. God Bless You.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of grief and sorrow. He rests high on the mountain, surrounded by love and glory. The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss,
but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

I will like to take the time to pray for Kurt Ardrey Family. For those who don't know I work with Mr. Ardrey in The Department of Neighborhoods in the section that he work under Program Managenment. I remember Kurt as a very nice person, and was very helpful with his co-workers in the city of Toledo. Once me invited the hold staff in our section for a cook out at his house which He and his wife brought. My last seeing Kurt was in Novermber of 2009. I was just leaving from seeing a movie out at Westfield in west Toledo. He will be miss and I pray that God will give his Family comfort for the days to come. May God Keep you and Bless You

I'll miss you dearly. You embraced my family and treated me as one of your very own grandchildren. I know you are in a far more better place and will continue to look over all of us. I LOVE YOU
