Larry J. Boone, age 73, passed away unexpectantly at home on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Monclova, Ohio.
Larry was born on May 26, 1952, in Detroit, MI, to John and Marie (Watkins) Boone. Larry moved to Toledo as a teenager. He married Patricia Stevens on September 28, 1973. They were married for 52 years. Larry and Pat lived in Waterville, OH, for 46 years.
Larry was employed by Continental Coffee for 10 years and then worked for Seaway Food Town in their Maumee warehouse for 25 years. He retired in 2003.
Larry was an avid golfer and spent many hours perfecting his swing on the White Pines golf course. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, caring for his fish pond and backyard friends, but most of all he loved his family.
Larry was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Charles, Wade and Glen. He is survived by his wife, Pat; mother, Marie; sister, Linda (Rich Swetz); and his beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel), 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio, Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow visitation, at 4:30 p.m. Inurnment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, in Larry's name.
