Lawrence Voller Obituary

Lawrence "Larry" Paul Voller

Lawrence "Larry" Paul Voller, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Born November 10, 1953, in Bradford, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Harriet Voller. Larry was survived by his fiancée and best friend Gwen Gloeckner; brothers, Jack and Steve Voller; sister, Pattie Hedlund (Bruce); dear friends, Lindsey Gloeckner and Carrie Loyd, "Little Brother" John Rowbotham; and his constant companion Mika.

Larry grew up in Finneytown, Ohio, was a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. He had a successful sales career as owner of OIM Industrial Sales. Larry was a long-term resident of Toledo, Ohio. He Captained the boat, "Turn Me Loose" out of Port Clinton and spent many summers at Put-In-Bay where he was a member of the Crews Nest and Put-In-Bay Yacht Club and made lifelong friends that will forever have stories to share about their time at the bay. He was an avid tennis player, runner and loved fishing the big seas in Cabo. He was good for a smile, had compassion for others and always up for a great glass of wine.

He and Gwen retired to Jacksonville, Florida in 2019, where he enjoyed taking Mika to the beach to walk, read and enjoy the sunrise.

There will be a memorial service in Cincinnati and a cruise out at Put-In-Bay in July, dates to be determined. Memorials can be made to The OSU James Cancer and Solove Research Institute/Head and Neck Oncology or Tragic to Magic animal rescue. Cheers!

Grew up with Larry as my next door neighbor. Great guy and even over the years as we drifted apart there was always a place for him in my heart....and there still is. Prayers for his family and friends.
