Leo Wesley Obituary
Leo Joseph Wesley, age 85, of Manitou Beach, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Leo was born in Dardanelle, AR, on July 19, 1940, to Joe Henry and Frances Marie (Klouber) Wesley.
Leo proudly served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of captain. He married his wife, Barbara Ann Kerr, on September 14, 1968. Leo had a 30-year career at Owens Corning Fiberglass.
In retirement, Leo and Barb moved to their cherished lake house, that Leo designed, on Devils Lake, MI. Leo enjoyed a myriad of hobbies and projects including boating, water skiing, scuba, travel, downhill skiing, flying as a private pilot, building radio controlled planes and boats, woodworking, and maintaining his home, among many others. An active member of St. Mary on the Lake parish, Leo contributed his expertise to renovations, improvements, and to the financial council for many years.
In addition to his wife, Barb, Leo is survived by his children, Michael (Tracy) Wesley and Elizabeth (Daniel) Roarty; grandchildren, Kate, Peter, Ellie, Sarah, Jacob; and a sister, Helen Marie Kiefer. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, in infancy.
