Leonard Wexler Obituary
8/22/1952 - 8/27/2022
Leonard Robert Wexler passed away August 27, 2022 at the age of 70, after a long and complicated illness.
Lenny was born on August 22, 1952 to the late Esther and Sam Wexler. He grew up in Old Orchard and went to Old Orchard Grade School. He was a 1970 graduate of DeVilbiss High School and attended The Ohio State University.
Lenny was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved music and knew the lyrics of every song. He could remember the names of everyone he grew up with or went to school with and had many funny stories to tell. Lenny had a gift of making people laugh, he made his nurses and doctors laugh even as he was being wheeled to surgery.
Lenny is survived by his three children, Josh Wexler, Nikki (Steve) Wexler Tibbetts, Anthony Wexler; and stepson, Vincent Lescault; grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kason Wexler, Charleigh, MacLynn, and Meeka Tibbetts. He is also survived by many family and childhood friends, including his close cousin, Bonnie Wexler; and cousins, Rhoda Wexler Miller and Steve Wexler. He is survived by his first wife, Diane (Jeff) Goldstein.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lyra Wexler Goldberg; and his wife, Callie Turchetti. He will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Lenny's Life will be held at the Bier Stube Bar & Grill, 5333 Monroe St., Toledo on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5 - 8 p.m.
