Lillian KIMBELL Obituary

KIMBELL Lillian M. (Tasch) Lillian Kimbell, 991/2, of Sylvania, OH, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born on April 15, 1912, to Henry and Elizabeth (Sondergeld) Tasch in Greytown, OH. Lillian was the youngest and the last of the eleven Tasch children born to her parents. During the last five years of her life, she resided at Kingston, where she enjoyed a comfortable life. She especially delighted in all of the social activities at Kingston. "Bingo" was her forte' and she won consistently at this activity. She loved making beautiful quilts at the Sylvania Senior Center and enjoyed raising flowers, while still in her home. Lillian enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She welcomed the visits from nieces and nephews at her Kingston apartment, after having given up driving at the age of 94. Lillian married William Kimbell (1906-1989). As a result of this union, she became a mother to William's children, Alice and Jered Kimbell. Lillian and her husband were two of the founding investors of the Cannon Paper Company. She is survived by Alice. Siblings who preceded her in death are Edward (Ester) Tasch, Matilda Tasch, Mary (Anthony) Morlock, Otto (Corrine) Tasch, Irving "Pete" (Delia) Tasch, Anna (Lester) Mehlow, Ella (Julius) Brahier, Charles Tasch, Ida (Lawrence) Schlievert, and Lawrence (Maurine) Tasch. Surviving nieces and nephews include Lois Wheeler, Shirley Florio, Tom Mehlow, Rita Honner, Milt Brahier, Ron Schlievert and Elizabeth Shaw. Friends are invited to join the family at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH on Monday, November 28 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. where the funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Association Cemetery. The family wishes to give a heartfelt thanks to Kingston, Flower and Toledo Hospitals. A special thank you to Ron and Barbara, her caregivers. Aunt Lillian was always a beautiful person and a friend to all family members. As a young child I remember the holiday parties, at their house. My health prevents me from traveling to attend her final services, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
