Margaret Mercurio Obituary

MERCURIO Margaret Jane (O'Connell) May 17, 1935-May 16, 2011 Margaret Jane (O'Connell) Mercurio, 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away May 16, 2011, in her home. She was the daughter of Velma and William, and was born on May 17th in Toledo, Ohio, in 1935. She married on November 19, 1953, to Albert Russell Mercurio (d. July 5, 1986). Margaret is survived by her seven (7) children, Nicholas (Tina), Steven, Amy Mercurio, Angela (Thomas Jr.) Roberts, Gina (Thomas Jr.) Susor, Peter Mercurio II, Andrea (Theodore Jr.) Mitchell; grandchildren, Alexandria, Angelique, Nicholas, Nicholas Jr., Dayton, Emily, Sarah, Andrew, Benjamin, Allison, Morgan, Lauren, William, Charles, Dorothea; brothers, William (Georgie), Dennis (Cathy); sister, Patricia and her son Tony. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Albert and brothers, Thomas and Donny. She was a stay at home mom. She collected angels and eagles. She loved action movies, loved reading paperback books. She was a novice artist (illustrator) and author of children's books. She was very patriotic. Not only writing to her own children when they were serving in the military, but also writing to several soldiers and marines. She had many pen pals. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Margaret's memory can be made the charity of the donor's choice. www.egglestonmeinert.com

It is a sad time in your life..now your mom can be the angel watching over you through the floors of heaven.Aunt Peggy always seemed so proud to see us..we were seperated by space and distance for most of my life,but cousins we are still,God bless all of our family and friends..we need to keep in touch and share the memories we have of our loved ones with eachother...lov to all...cousin Chrissy

I remember sitting on Mom's lap and the smell of her perfume. I remember thumb print cookies and the stories she wrote for us.
Through good times and bad, you always have and will be my mom and my kids nana. I love and miss you Ma.

To all my siblings, neices, nephews, well everyone I guess, that knew my Mom knows I loved her very much. When she was happy with you, you knew. When she was unhappy with you, you knew that as well. Right now, I think she is happy and resting well, and I have no problem believing she is watching Star Wars even as we speak! Love you Mom...Miss you...your son...
