Maria Albero Obituary

FRAGOSO ALBERO Carmen Maria Maria Carmen Fragoso Albero, age 70, of south Toledo, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nuez de Ebro Zaragoza, Espan a on September 1, 1941, exactly 70 years to the day she died on September 1, 2011. She was the daughter of Pedro and Julia (Corral) Albero. She moved to the United States with her husband, Porfirio "Luis" Fragoso whom she was married to for 48 years. Maria was a Food Service Manager for the Area Office on Aging for 26 years. She loved her "Seniors"! She is survived her loving husband, Porfirio "Luis" Fragoso; children, Jose Luis (Kerri) Fragoso, Teresa Julia (Jon) Ronngren, Pedro Fernando (Michelle) Fragoso, Rebecca Marie Fragoso; grandchildren, Marc Anthony and Eric Lee Fragoso, Gunnar Christian and Gabriella Noel Ronngren, Andres Paolo Fragoso; great- grandchildren, Hayden Alexander Fragoso, Skyler Brandon Gargan, Tristan Cole Fragoso; brothers, Fernando, Pedro and Francisco Albero. Maria (Carmen) was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, a true inspiration to all. Her life was guided by God and is now resting peacefully in his arms. She led her life with dignity and never wavered in her faith even through her darkest times. Our Mother was a pillar of strength, she never complained, she gave of herself without reservation and touched so many with her beautiful spirit. She shared her life unconditionally never passing judgment upon others and was filled with forgiveness. She was a passionate cook and welcomed everyone to sit at her table to share a meal. Her kindness was overwhelming her laughter sincere and her love for her family was intense. She is one of the greatest people to walk this earth. Carmen touched each and everyone who knew her in her own special way. It is painful that she is not with us but we are comforted to know that she will no longer suffer and that her spirit will live on through the lives she had touched. At Maria's request, there will be no visitation. Memorial services are pending and will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Louis: I extend my sympathy to you over Carmen. Everyone from the Senior Center will miss her. We all expected her to live forever. Now we will need you to visit regularly to help to cheer up the Seniors!!!You know Carmen would have wanted you to do that. I wish I had a chance to see you at her Mass, however, I did not see you there. She was such a popular lady the whole big church was almost full!!!She spoke of you and your children everytime I worked with her. I know what a close family you were. If you are lonely and want to meet with all of us at McDonald's you are welcome any morning and here & there we take an afternoon break. Take Care. Please call me if I can help you out. Lori Bowles (419)265-2573 Sorry I did not get a chance to talk with you at McDonald's today. Thank you.

I enjoyed picking my Grandfather, Carmen Cervantez up from the senior center. I was always greeted by Carmen F. with a big smile and a hug, as if I was her own family. In a way I was, she treated not only my Grandfather like family, she was that way with every senior there. I am sadden to know that I will not be able to see her outside sweeping or doing yard work. May she rest in peace.
