Marie Beach Obituary

Marie Ann Beach

12/02/1950 - 04/06/2023

Marie Beach, formerly of Toledo and Monclova, passed away in her home in Venice, Florida in early April.

Marie was born in Welch, WV, to Clinton and Vera (Mills) Adkins. Her family moved to Toledo when she was a young girl. She attended Rogers High School, graduating in 1968.

She was a conscientious and involved homemaker and mother as she raised two children, Michele (Brian Link) and Matthew (Dawn Mazzola) Beach with her then-husband, Michael Beach.

Marie always loved reading, gardening, crafting, cats, and computers - she made many friends via the internet over the years. She enjoyed collecting quotes, song lyrics, and memes.

In recent years, she enjoyed making her new home in Venice, Florida. She cherished her independence and followed her lifelong dream of living in Florida. She was invigorated by the warm weather and the beautiful beaches, flora, and fauna of the Sunshine State.

Marie was especially close with her sisters, Georgie Seel (Altavista, VA) and Nancy Mortimer; her nieces, Heather Douglas, Brooke Theil, and Charlie LaGesse (all of Toledo); her brother- and sister-in-law, Jay Beach and Judy Brown (Columbus, IN); and her nephew, Barrett Beach (Chicago, IL).

She was preceded in death by many people who were special to her; among them her parents; her brother, Joey Adkins; her cousin, Judy Allred; her father-in-law, Joe Perry; and her friends, Rick VanCleave, Ray Feeney, and Debby Meeker.

Marie's wish was for no services upon her death. Please consider honoring her with a donation to the St Francis Animal Rescue in Venice, FL and/or devoting some of your time and resources to doing something you enjoy, somewhere you enjoy, on your own terms, in her memory.

My Aunt Marie was a good person and we all love her and miss her. She was a lone wolf but when we went to Florida every year we always stopped by her house we hadn't been out there in 3 years because my grandma her sister did not live there and we were still in the pandemic and it was not a good idea at the time we would have gone out may 26 to see her but we have lost the one we love in loving memory of Marie Ann Beach,My Aunt Marie,

My condolences, Matt, Michelle, and the rest of the family. I enjoyed the times I got to interact with your mom. I remember her as always being welcoming and kind when I was at your house.

I love you Aunt Marie and you will always be in our memories and in our hearts I don't have too many recent pictures since you moved to Florida but this is one of my favorites with you holding my daughter Juliana!
