Marie Hohenbrink Obituary
August 24, 1936 - April 5, 2025
Maria G. Hohenbrink, 88 years old, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Saturday morning, April 5, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on August 24, 1936, to Antonino and Concetta Mazzara.
A graduate of Michigan State University, she arrived in Toledo in 1965 with her husband, Mark, and taught for many years at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns School. Maria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark F. Hohenbrink; and by their youngest son, Mark W. Hohenbrink.
She is survived by her brother, Andrew Mazzara (Peg); two sons, Anthony (Victoria) and Andrew (Cindy) Hohenbrink; and grandchildren, Andrew and Olivia Hohenbrink.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Tuesday, April 15, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church on Wednesday, April 16, starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mark W. Hohenbrink Scholarship fund at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns School.
