Marilyn Hehl Obituary

HEHL Marilyn (Bellg) Marilyn Hehl, 75, died a peaceful death on October 31, 2006, at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Marilyn was born in Toledo in 1931 to Alfred and Dorothy Bellg. She attended Notre Dame Academy, and she eventually followed in father's footsteps, working as a claims adjuster for State Auto. In addition to work, Marilyn donated her time to various causes, volunteering as a facilitator for the Alzheimer's Association, working on political campaigns and helping with breast cancer awareness causes. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed water aerobics and gambling jaunts. A skilled public speaker, as a former member of Toastmaster's International, she participated in many speech contests, winning awards and making friends. She also traveled extensively with her friend, Nora, making ocean cruises and Las Vegas frequent destinations. Left to cherish her memory are a wide circle of friends and her family, including daughters, Susan (Mark) Mulligan and Connie (Neal) Hildebrandt; sons, David (Mary) Hehl and Steve (Donna) Hehl; best friend, Nora Lindquist; brother, Bruce (Olga) Bellg, and 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy Bellg and brother, Alfred (Skeet) Bellg. Friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, Wynn at Pickle Rd., (419) 693-9304, Friday November 3, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. and will conclude with the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to Immaculate Conception School in Port Clinton, Ohio.

I was saddened to hear of Maruilyn's passing. She was my partner as a facilitator of the Alzheimer's Support Group and her dedication and compassion was evident over the many years we worked together. She was a wonderful lady who enjoyed life, family and the companionship of Nora, about whom she spoke so dearly. I will miss her - as will the many folks who's lives she impacted through her work with the Alzheimer's Association.

The very first time I met Marilyn (17 years ago) I liked her. She always had a smile on her face.

To her family, you will be in my prayers.

Fondly,

Hello Hehl Family,
I'm so sorry to here about your Mother.
I have lots of good memories about you folks and camping at Lake Amanda as kids. I was taken on my first snipe hut by Dave, at that time the big brother type to me and my cousin Jeff.
May God be with you all through this time. My Family and I are praying for you all.
God-Bless
