I just found out about Mickey's passing today 7/30/11. It was quite a shock.I knew Mickey from Woodland ave. to Woodward High. My condolence's to the Green Family. RIP Mickey.

Cindy, Marra, & Jordan. I am so sorry for your loss. I was both shocked and saddened about Mark's passing. He was such a wonderful man, and of course, a blessing to all that knew him. We sometime forget just how special they are to us in our daily lives. But I know that he has left a bit of himself with all of you, and one day, when the tears can be pushed aside, you'll be able to smile again just at the mention of his name. May God, family and memories of good friends comfort you now. I am that good friend to Mickey whom I met at Miami when he befriended and became a leader, coach, shoulder and smile in many of our lives. He was always a class act, and I know that God has received another angel.

Surprise and sadden of the death of Mickey. A great man, a great full back and a great friend to many. My wife and I will pray to our Lord and Savior for comfort to the wife and family of Mickey Green. Even though death is humanity weakness, MICKEY strength live with those who knew him and love him. His memory will always be a part of my mind. I am very sorry of Mickey death but bless to know him during our Football time. Keep the football warm my friend because we all will be up there to pick up a good game of tackle Football

When I heard from my brother Wednesday that Mickey had passed I thought he was just kidding. I couldn't believe it as I have always known him to be strong, fit and full of energy and life. The Lord has a way of humbling us all and I pray for the entire family in this moment of grief that they all know and understand HIS will. I also pray the family understands that the Lord has NEVER made a mistake and there is a reason why Mickey was called at this time. The fact that he was an athlete was significant but the fact that he was a scholar/athletic was even more signficant. He always worked hard (class or field) in whatever he attempted to do. I am very proud that he was a great friend of mine in high school and beyond and proud to have known such a quality individual. I am sorry that I could not attend the memorial to pay my respects but Mickey has always been respected by my family and me well before today.
Rest well my friend you will be missed!

To Robin and the Green Family,
I love you all and share in you pain. I am a part of this family having grown up with you all. I remember fondly memories of backyard fun out Stickney, late nights crossing the foot bridge with Mick for protection and just overall fun and love. He will be truly missed and is an intricate and special part of my growing up...I pray and know the Lord will hold him close in his arms and give his loved ones strength to carry on...this is my prayer -not just for you, but for those of us who knew and loved Mickey as well. I am very shocked and saddened to hear of Mark's passing. I will always fondly remember the years worked with Mark at Corning and the friendship we shared. He was so very proud of his family and was such a wonderful father. May you all carry precious memories of Mark with you and live your lives with the same strength, pride and dedication to family that he did. R.I.P ..To our Woodward H.S. Class of 1974 friend and football Superstar.. Mark " Mickey" Green. I am sure his many yards lived proir to his final touchdown..were filled with only the greatest goals..the love of family and friends! The Mark I knew was a great person.
I must add I tried very hard to find Mark for our 35th Class reunion. As many people were asking if I found Mickey, and was he coming? He will be with us in spirit from here on. May everyones lives he touched find Peace.
