Marlin Worstell Obituary
Marlin Worstell, 87, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Maumee, Ohio. Born on November 15, 1937, in Charleston, West Virginia. Marlin was an Army Veteran and also Past Worshipful Master of Sylvania Pyramid Lodge.
Marlin shared a beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Darlene Worstell, for 59 years. Every morning without fail, Marlin would leave Darlene an "I love you" note before heading out to get her coffee. He was a devoted father to daughters, Shelly (Craig) Cooper and Kelly (Laron) Leake.
Marlin's legacy continues through his 7 grandchildren and his 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Amon Worstell; brothers, Garrett Worstell and John Worstell; sister, Rosezella Hall; and son, Keith Schmidlin.
Military graveside services will be Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., in Lake Township Cemetery, 3550 Walbridge Rd, Millbury, OH 43447. Marlin's Life Celebration will follow from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., at Sylvania Pyramid Lodge, 3510 N. Holland Sylvania Rd. Urbanski Funeral Home- a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, OH, is assisting the family.
