FISHER

Martha E.

Martha E. Fisher, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, just thirty-two days short of her eighty-ninth birthday. She was born February 12, 1926, to Seth and Elsie (Crittenden) Sheperd in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Whitney Vocational High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Philip Fisher, on October 26, 1946, at Western Avenue Methodist Church and were married for sixty-four years.

Martha enjoyed doing crafts such as cross-stitching, sewing and especially quilting. She also enjoyed making pine-needle baskets for her family and friends who she so dearly loved. Being the caring and loving person she was, Martha was usually the hostess at many family gatherings. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Martha is survived by her sons, William (Ande), Gale and Dale (Avis); five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and her sisters-in-law, Gladys Abramczyk and Mary Fisher. She is predeceased by her husband, parents; sister, Mary Elva Garber and daughter-in-law, Alice.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bruce Hillard and the staff at Mercy West Park Family Physicians, especially Karen Coffey and Hospice of Northwest Ohio and everyone at Vibrant Life Senior Living of Temperance for their care and compassion.
