Martha Quinn Obituary

Martha Ann Holden Taylor Quinn

8/6/47 - 1/24/25

"Muffy" graduated from Ottawa Hills High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in education from the University of Arizona. She was a substitute teacher at Toledo schools and volunteered at the Toledo Art Museum and the Zeph Mental Health Center. She was a member of the Daughters Of The American Revolution and of the Daughters Of The King. Muffy struggled with the ravages of Bipolar Disorder her entire adult life, and dementia in her later years. She could be an incredible pain or the sweetest old lady you'd ever want to meet.

Muffy passed peacefully on January 24, 2025. She was predeceased by son, Benjamin Taylor, and his father, Ned Taylor. She is survived by her brothers, Steve, J, and Paul Holden; by daughter, Molly Quinn, and her father, George Quinn, and husband, Mike Duhamel; and by grandson, Holden "Renaissance Man" Folk, and his father, Marc Folk.

Muffy dabbled in art, was a devout Christian, and sang hymns while playing her piano, sometimes at 3:00 a.m. She was fond of telephones, also sometimes at 3:00 a.m. On Friday, February 7, at 1:30 p.m., a memorial service will be held at St. Michael's In The Hills Church, 4718 Brittany Rd., where she sang her heart and soul out in the choir for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Church choir or the Zeph Center.
