Marvin Dougherty

11/9/1932 - 4/3/2025

Marvin "Doc" Dougherty, 92, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on November 9, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to Malcolm and Matilda Dougherty.

He married Joanne Henry in 1953, and she joined him in Germany where he was serving in the Army. After the Army, they moved to Oregon, Ohio, and he worked for Gulf Oil Refinery for 26 years.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Debra (Doug) Dippman and Pam (Bob) Shields; son, Michael (Catherine) Dougherty; grandchildren, Anorea (Patrick) Siparsky, Jamie (Rob) Noble, Kendra (Derek) Zenk, Patrick (Erin) Shields, Danielle (Daniel) Clements, Michael Dougherty, Jr., and Matthew Dougherty; and two great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Joanne; his parents; and sister, Donna Nutt.

A private graveside service will be held for family. Any memorial donations are asked to be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Worked with Doc at Gulf he was always a very respectful guy to work with. I was a young kid at 21 yrs. When Gulf closed I hope he had a good life. One fellow I still see is in nursing home at 98 yrs. Prayers for your family. Doc was truly a genuine guy. Gene Schwind
