KROLL Mary Lou (Wallace) Mary Lou (Wallace) Kroll, Toledo, died January 26, 2008, at age 67. She was born July 1, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Ohio, and later moved to Sylvania, where she met and fell in love with Thomas J. Kroll in high school. The two married in 1955 and had two daughters. Mary was very proud of her family, especially her granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Mary cheated at Scrabble and enjoyed a good joke. She made amazing Christmas cookies and loved Coca-Cola. She had a pig collection that you have to see to believe. She plotted her garage sale routes like Eisenhower preparing for D-Day. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, walking the dog, drinking a cup of coffee, sitting in her swing, listening to music, reading a book in the sun, tending to her roses and peonies, and watching "All My Children" and the Detroit Tigers. Her many friends are a testament to her kindness and wit; she loved and was loved by many. She will be remembered by her husband Tom; daughters, Marcia (Norman) Tomanicek, Sylvania, and Vicki Kroll, Toledo; granddaughter, Mindy (Michael) Balusik and great-granddaughter, Mallory, Swanton; mother, Helen Armstrong, Toledo; sister, Millie (Melvin) Wittich, Swanton; brother Charles (Janice) Wallace, Seattle; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Penny. She was preceded in death by stepfather, Arlington (Army) Armstrong; father, Frank Wallace, and brothers, Theodore William (Bill) Wallace, Franklin Clark (Mike) Wallace and Richard Wallace. Friends are invited to remember Mary Friday, February 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania. Online condolences may be sent to reebfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Caring Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 383 W.
