Mary Ottgen Obituary

OTTGEN
Mary Margaret “Marge”
Mary Margaret “Marge” Ottgen passed away on January 20, 2017 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, after fifty years of marriage. She is survived by her three daughters, Beth (Tom) Ford, Kathy (Cas) Krul, and Patricia (Bill) Pouliot; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Although she was never employed outside the home, she worked very hard as a farmer and farmer's wife. In her “spare” time, she raised three children, was a caregiver for eight years for her ailing parents, volunteered tirelessly for the local schools and was active in her church. She was also extremely active in her second home in Florida, and was a member of the founding group of residents forming Oak Park Cooperative in 1986.
She was the moral support for every endeavor her husband and children attempted. She loved to laugh, and thoroughly enjoyed a good joke. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to any of the following: Harry Chapin Food Bank, Ft. Myers, FL 33901; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or Metamora Volunteer Fire Dept. Metamora, Ohio. As published in The Blade
