Mathew Patterson Obituary

PATTERSON Matthew J. Mathew J. Patterson, age 93, passed away Monday, November 13, 2006. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mathew loved being Santa Claus each year at the Southwyck Mall. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Sylvania Senior Citizens Club. Mathew was an Ironworker for 66 years and was the oldest living ironworker in Local #55, Toledo. Mathew is survived by daughters, Patricia Rogers of Riga, MI and Sandra Swartz of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Dawn Bales, Gerry Matzinger, Gary Rogers, Jr., Lori Barnes, Charles Swartz, Craig Swartz, Toni Stover, Steven Swartz, and Lee Ann Podbielniak; 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Gladys Patterson. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., (west of Corey Rd.) where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Visiting Nurse Hospice, Maumee, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com

I was so sorry to hear about your father my deapest condolences go out to you and your family. I will keep all of you in my prayers and may God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I have a conference that I am attending on Wednesday and Thursday and won't be able to make it to Toledo for the funeral.
