Matthew Faykosh Obituary

FAYKOSH

Matthew J.

Matthew Jacob Faykosh was born on March 24, 1981, and he left us on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The day Matthew was born his mother was working a shift at The Toledo Hospital, but not wanting to be a burden, he waited until his mother's shift was over to enter the world. His timing was impeccable, a trait he'd have throughout his life. He was born to Karen and Gary Faykosh of Perrysburg, OH. Much to Matthew's chagrin, he entered a living situation with three older sisters, Lisa, Aimee, and Megan. If you were to ask Matthew, he'd tell you it was quite a stroke of luck, because these girls rocked. In his own words he was lucky in life with family and friends. Those who were fortunate enough to be graced by his presence will never forget the stamp he put on their lives.

He leaves behind his parents, Karen and Gary, and sisters, Lisa, Aimee, and Megan, as well as his uncle, Bill Mulrooney, affectionately known as "Uncle Coconut". Not to forget the many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were also very special to Matthew. Also left to cherish his memory are his many incredible friends, and they know who they are.

Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4th in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, with Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Toledo Humane Society or to any other animal organization. To Karen, and the entire Mulrooney, and Faykosh families; Words can not express my sorrow in the loss of your young Matthew. I can not even imagine how you all must feel, but rest assured that there are many people that Matthew, as well as your entire family - must have touched, and he will not be forgotten.

May I extend my deepest sympathy in your time of unimaginable grief. I do believe that there is a merciful God that will understand, and welcome Matthew with open arms. The angels, I believe - will minister love, and compassion. I do believe that he is at peace, and suffering no more.
