HOOVER

Meredith McGraw "Pudge" 1934 - 2015

Meredith passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, at home.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Hoover, and her mother, Doris Gradomski.

Lovingly known as Grammy, she loved her family and liked nothing better than to get everyone together to "eat, eat, eat."

She leaves behind her son, Rick "golden boy" Hoover (Jodi); favorite daughter, Cha Hoover; brother, Rodney (Marlene) McGraw; brother-in-law, Walter Hoover and grandchildren, Daun, Chad and Eric; great-grandchildren, Riley and Zachary; special friends, Tom and Joe Gilbert.

Meredith loved scrabble, bowling, reading, playing cards, Elvis and helping her kids, grandkids and friends.

She was very creative and loved to make crafts, and at one time had a shop she ran with her husband at the airport called the Basket Case. Meredith did some pretty incredible things. She met and married her husband in 11 days and cared for him up until his passing.

She will be greatly missed by all.

I just came across this obituary. I took care of Meredith's husband Robert for a little while. They were both wonderful people. I taught Robert how to play the dice game greed, and he loved it. I don't know why they were on my mind today, there was a cardinal at my window, and I was thinking about the time that I had some beautiful clients that I took care of, and they were top notch individuals. 22 years ago!
Meredith always enjoy going to garage sales, and finding good bargains.

Rest in peace, Pudge! I know there is one heck of a scrabble game going on in Heaven between you and Gerry! I have very fond memories of growing up next to The Hoover's! Pudge was always up to something. My prayers to the family.

I loved my sister very much. When I was 6 and she was 8, she escorted me all the way from Toledo to Sand Pointe Idaho. This would never happen today. However, it shows the strength of character my sister had. Our dad was in the Navy stationed as the postmaster in Idaho and our mother was there with him finding a job.

I worked with Meredith at the Toledo Exp Airport, in the late 80s and early 90's. I called her "Megadeth," because she was a force to be reckoned with. So many good memories.

So sorry to hear of Pudge's passing. She was like a second grandma to my son, Ryan when he was little. She was actually in the room when he was born. We loved going to garage sales together years ago. She was loved by so many and just a nice, fun loving lady.
