Michael Michalak Obituary
1952 - 2022
Michael "Mike", "DziaDzia" P. Michalak, 70, of Sylvania, Oh passed away peacefully at home, with his wife by his side, on October 25, 2022. Michael was born on February 15, 1952, at Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH to the late Clement and Genevieve (Winckiewicz) Michalak. On March 1, 1993, Michael married Brenda Waterfield. They enjoyed 29 1/2 wonderful years together.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, Michael is survived by two stepchildren, Rick (Lisa) Wyatt, and Michelle (Dustin) Chevalier; six grandchildren, Monica Allen, Brittany (Colin) Mitchell, Jessica Conrad, Trevor Wyatt, Chloe' (Jake) Ehlert, and Tyler Conrad; and three great-grandchildren, Shay Greathouse, Kinsley Nichols, and Jai'Ceonna Allen.
Michael was a 1970 graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. Over the years, he embraced a self-driven entrepreneurial direction in which he owned Next Day Signs and eventually established an 18-year company: Comprehensive Office Furniture. Mike was an avid golfer and a 30-year member of Highland Meadows Golf Club where he founded "Da' Boys". He was loved for his sense of humor, quick wit, and the "Mikey quiz bowl emcee experience" at Ventura's, The Seafood, and The Moose Lodge. When not on the golf course Mike enjoyed time with family and friends. His stepchildren loved him as an amazing father figure, mentor, and friend.
Per Michael's request, there will be no services. The family wishes to thank ProMedica Hospice for the amazing care they provided for Michael. Those wishing to donate in Michael's memory are asked to donate to the charity of the donor's choice.

What a Great Guy! I liked how Mike would give me his 'educated' opinions on the golf course. I will cherish the golf clubs I acquired from him.
