Michele Marie Janiak, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Myers, Florida, on January 14, 2025. Born on December 5, 1945, in Waterville, Maine, she was the beloved daughter of George and Bernadette Arsenault.
Michele spent over three decades as a resident of Maumee and Perrysburg, Ohio, as well as time in Augusta, Georgia, before settling in Fort Myers. She shared a remarkable 53-year marriage with her devoted husband, Bruce Janiak. Together, they built a life centered on faith, love, and family.
A dedicated mother to 14 children and grandmother to 18 grandchildren, Michele's nurturing spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. She and Bruce adopted 11 children, and opened their hearts and home to more than 80 foster children over the years. Michele treated everyone who entered her home as part of the family, creating an enduring legacy of compassion and generosity.
Michele is survived by her husband, Bruce; and all 14 of their children. Her unwavering love and selflessness will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.

Bruce, I am so sorry to read of Michele's death. She made our Mondays at the church office great fun. She supplied us with headgear for Halloween. She planned for our group to move to Panama. We had assigned jobs so we could all enjoy life at the beach. What memories she left us to treasure. A delightful friend who has been missed since your move. Paul and I and the Monday church team offer you our deepest sympathy.
