Nadine A. King

KING Nadine A. Nadine A. King, age 88, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2009, at the Hospice Center of Northwest Ohio. Born August 19, 1920, to Forest Gard and Lydia Palenske in Toledo, Ohio, she was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and a retiree of Owens-Illinois where she held various administrative positions in the Closure Division. In her later years she was cared for by her niece, Amy (Mortemore) Maxwell and for the past 21 months has lived with her nephew and his wife, Dennis and Susan Mortemore where Susan provided her daily care. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wava Mortemore in 2007 and long time partner, Donald Drouillard in 2001. She is survived by nephews, Dennis Mortemore (Susan) of Monclova, OH, David Mortemore (Sherry) of Scottsdale, AZ; niece, Amy Maxwell (Todd); great-nephews, Andrew Mortemore (Stacey) of Costa Mesa, CA, Matthew Mortemore (Kelli) of Toledo, OH, Adam Mortemore of Scottsdale, AZ, Aaron Mortemore of Scottsdale, AZ; great-niece, Abbey Mortemore (Michael), and great-great-nieces, Eliette Jane Sachs and Makenna Lee Mortemore. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care given to Nadine over the year. Friends may call at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave. (Between Monroe St. and Talmadge Rd.) Tuesday from 2 - 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
