Julie, Kelly and Chris,

I was deeply saddened to hear that Nancy had passed away. Our time working together at St. Luke's, the laughter we shared both at work and outside work and our friendship over the years will be greatly missed. She was an incredible person who influenced many, including myself, and made us better people because we knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Chris, Julie, Kelly and Roberta,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories of you girls as newborns and pre-schoolers at our home when my mom, Julie Howard, took care of you. Chris, I remember the day you called and asked if mom would be interested in taking care of Kelly shortly after she was born. Mom was so flattered that you sought her out and we always thought of Julie and Kelly as an extension of our own family. I always looked up to and admired Nancy. She truly seemed to have it all; a beautiful family, a career she loved, and an abundance of family and friends. I hope that you are able to find comfort in your fondest memories and the fact that Nancy is now at peace and will be with you always.

Nanc was simply "The Best." They do not come any better. In the almost 30 years that I have known her, she has not only been a great coworker but a true friend. I will truly, truly miss her. My thoughts are with her wonderful family.

Dear Kelly, Julie, Chris, Roberta, Susan and Dennis,

Nancy's passing is surely a loss for everyone who knew and loved her. She was so kind and generous. She was a gifted recruiter and knew instantly if the applicant and job were a good fit. She guided me as I grew within the organization, advising if a position was right for me or not. She always had time for a question. I will always remember her laughter especially when she found something to be truly funny. Her laugh was from the depths of her soul.

When she spoke of Julie and Kelly, she spoke as any proud parent would - full of love, respect and admiration for her girls. Her love for her girls kept her strong through the end.

We will miss Nancy but know that she is in a better place, a place without pain, a place full of love and everlasting life.

Nanc,
I love you with all my heart. Our time together at St. Lukes and all the years in our HR departments will never be forgotten. But most of all,the walks and talks of our lives will never leave my heart. I am so happy that things worked out for you during the time you needed it the most. Your girls represent you well as they too have turned into remarkable young women. May God be with you and your family.

Dear Gannon Family:
As a former human resources colleague at the UT Medical Center, Nancy and I frequently called one another for information exchanges. She was always so pleasant and helpful and her sense of humor was wonderful. I am praying for your strength, comfort and healing. May the Lord keep you all in His peace and care.

Chris, Julie and Kelly,
With deepest sympathies to you and the family. I cannot tell you how much we miss Nancy at St. Luke's. We have so many amazing memories of Nancy, she will surely continue to live on. Perhaps we will all continue her tradition of taking her birthday off work on April 2nd. As you all know, most of the employees at St. Luke’s Hospital were hired by Nancy, as she celebrated 31 years of service. She was incredibly loyal, reliable, trustworthy, and very dedicated to the Human Resource profession. Her friendships are many – and she leaves a tremendous legacy in not only her co-workers in HR - but through Julie and Kelly. She was a remarkable woman. I'm truly better for having known her. God Bless.

Dear Kevin and family,

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many great memories of our days at MHS and beyond. In fact, I always think of Nancy on the Fourth of July as one of my best memories is the fun we had celebrating the nation's bicentennial in 1976. May she rest in eternal peace.

With deepest sympathy,
