Neil Woodworth Obituary

Neil E. Woodworth

Neil E. Woodworth, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born in Ashtabula, OH, December 11, 1931, to parents Orville and Marian (Taylor) Woodworth. Neil graduated from Ashland University and was employed as a Chemist with Owens Illinois for more than 27 years, retiring in 1987.

He was proud to have served with the United States Army. Neil was a member of the former Advent Lutheran Church and was a member of the Church Council.

He is survived by daughters, Pam (Miles) Billmaier, LeaAnn (Scott) Edwards, and Sandi (Jack) Meyers; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Mack; brother, Ronald Woodworth. Neil was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Doris A. (Spayde) Woodworth; and brother, David.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 12:00 p.m. Neil will be laid to rest beside Doris at Toledo Memorial Park, with Military Honors.

Those wishing to offer memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH, 43551.

Neil's family would like to thank the staff of Maumee Point for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
