Norma LADA Obituary

LADA Norma L. (Golembiewski) "Busia" Norma L. Lada, 78, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on October 24, 1932, to Ernest and Victoria Golembiewski. Norma married Joe Lada on November 24, 1951 and together they raised five children together. Norma was a lifelong member of St. Adalbert Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also an active supporter of the Buddy Frankowski VFW Post 5530. Norma loved cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren. She never had an unkind word for anyone and was not one to complain. She enjoyed watching TV, especially Days of Our Lives, Ellen, Sanford and Son and the Sunday Catholic Mass, spending time with her dogs (King and Nikki) and visiting with family and friends. Norma was an avid Bunco and Bingo player. Besides being a wonderful cook at home, she ran a successful Polish catering business in the Polish Village for over 20 years. Her sweet and sour cabbage will long be remembered by all who had the privilege of eating it. Norma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph; her parents; brother, Richard; her sister, Barbara; and brother-in-law, James Brewer. Norma is survived by her daughter, Trish (Fred) Conn; son, Joseph M. (Judy) Lada; daughter, Rosie (Robert) Precht Jr.; son, Bobby (Jamie) Lada and daughter, Barbie (Danny) Sutter; along with 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sr. Rose Marie Golembiewski and brother, Steven (Donna) Golembiewski. Family and friends will gather in the Urbanski Funeral Home, 2907 LaGrange at Dexter Street (419-244-4611) on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with closing prayers in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adalbert Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to express special thanks to the Neurology and Intensive Care Staff at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Don't pity me for my death, envy me for my life.

I will surely miss her. She was and is such a wonderful, wonderful person. Know that all of you are in my prayers. May songs of the angels lead her into paradise. Remember that life is eternal and love is immortal and death is only a horizon and a horizon is nothing except the limit of our sight.
