Norma Scruggs Obituary

SCRUGGS Norma Jean (Bashaw) Norma Jean (Bashaw) Scruggs, of Sebring, Florida, passed away at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, Florida. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. A friend to all who knew her, she ascended into a better place on May 8, 2007. She was born February 11, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, where she was employed as an office manager for Joseph's Super Market until retirement and moving to Avon Park, Florida. Norma was a dedicated and active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sebring. She shared her love of clothes and fashion working at Sue's Cubby Hole in Sebring. She was a member of the Blind Veterans Association and the Women's Auxiliary, American Legion Post 69. She is preceded in death by deceased husband, Kenneth R. Bashaw, Avon Park, Florida; parents, Harold and Ethel Kohler, Avon Park, Florida; sister, Patricia Kozak, Toledo, Ohio; brother, Pete (Walter) Kohler, Toledo, Ohio, and grandson, Daniel L. Joseph, Lafayette, Georgia. She is survived by husband, Clyde Scruggs, Sebring, Florida; daughter, Bonnie Joseph, Westerville, Ohio; grandson, Duane L. Joseph, Gahanna, Ohio; great- grandchildren, Kaylee Joseph, D. J. Burrow, Sydney Burrow; goddaughter, Kathy Heintscel, Findlay, Ohio; special nephew and niece, Al and Pauline Adams, Lemoyne, Ohio, and many other nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sebring, on Sunday, May 13, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Jim Weed officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to time of service at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4348 Schumacher Road, Sebring, Florida 33872. Bonnie,
I am so sorry. I loved Aunt Norm and she will always be in my thoughts and prayers.She was really a terrific person and will be missed. If you need anything or would just like to talk don't hesitate to call. My prayers are with you also.
