Parke Wise

Sixteen days after being admitted to Promedica Toledo Hospital, Parke Wise Lambert passed away in Lake Park of Sylvania after severe cancer related loss of appetite and malnutrition and died of Hodgkin's Lymphoma on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the age of 83. He was born on July 9, 1932. Parke graduated from Scott High School and subsequently went into the U.S. Army and served from 1953-1955. After his service he went into the painting business and later became a home builder. He enjoyed watching sports and participated in Handball in his late 30s and 40s. Parke provided room and board for his son during his undergraduate studies at the University of Toledo which was a springboard for his son to succeed in his academic career. He instilled in his son the value of stubbornness which has served him well.

Parke is survived by his brother, Harold "Butch" Lambert; his sister, Darlene "Bean" Ulmer, and her children, Doug, Dean, Darrell, Danny, and David, and his son, Dr. Charles Lambert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce who died at the age of 36. His favorite quote was: "if it were easy everybody would be doing it".
