Patricia Puls Obituary

Patricia E. Puls

October 15, 1928 - February 5, 2021

Patricia E. Puls left this world Friday February 5, 2021, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 15, 1928, to Lawrence and Nellie Whitaker in Ottawa, IL, moving to Toledo in her youth.

Pat was always a strong woman with an independent streak determined to support herself from an early age and it was the same with her children. She went to work with GE in the early 1950's and then was one of the first employees at the General Mills plant when it opened in Toledo, working there until her retirement in 1993. Pat remained active in the Retiree's Association through General Mills for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all her siblings, Jesse, Donna May, Millie, Dorothy and Betty; and also by her son, Jeff Puls. Pat is survived by her daughters, Debbie Melman and Kathy Johnson; son, Keith Puls; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Per her wishes there was a small private ceremony and interment on Friday.

The family will have a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Pat's life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, whose assistance they are grateful for. To leave a special message for Pat's family, please visit: www.NewcomerToledo.com
