Patricia Smith Obituary

SMITH Patricia (Tish Connolly) Patricia Smith (Tish Connolly), 61, of Fairlawn, Ohio, passed away December 8th, at Akron City Hospital, after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Tish grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from DeVilbiss High School and the University of Toledo. She lived for many years in New Hampshire (Amherst and Bedford), and Georgia (Lawrenceville), before moving back to Akron, Ohio, four years ago. She had previously lived in Copley, Ohio. Tish was employed by Owens Corning, before becoming incapacitated. She was a member of many organizations where she lived and had a fondness for cooking and baking, anything chocolate, but, most important of all were her boys and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Martha (Felker) Connolly, and is survived by her husband, Charles; sons, Chad of concord, NH, and Alex of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Skylar and Wyatt Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Steve) McLaughlin of Perrysburg, Ohio; brother, Patrick of Toledo; niece and nephew Sharney and Michael McLaughlin of California; nieces, Jenny O'Rourke of Elmore, Ohio, and Rebecca Rouppas of Oregon, Ohio; mother-in-law, Laura Salem of Fairlawn, as well as many friends and her extended family. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, January 4, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn (330-836-3100), with a Memorial Mass to be held on Saturday, January 6, 2008, at 10:30 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. in Fairlawn. Burial to be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society/Ohio Buckeye Chapter, 520 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44311, or that of the donor's choice.
