Patrick Davison Obituary

Patrick Davison

March 17, 1936 - May 2, 2024

Patrick Davison died May 2, 2024 of natural causes.

Pat was born in Akron Ohio, the son of Charles and Frances Davison. He graduated from Kent State University, where he met the love of his life Sara Davison, nee Rhein.

Coming from different religious backgrounds some thought their relationship would not work, but their love lasted 62 years through thick and thin.

Pat is survived by his wife, Sally; and their four children, Mike Davison (Vicki), Teri Loeffler (Ron), Rick Davison (Alicia) and Tim Davison (Maripa). They are beloved by their 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Pat worked in Sales for over 50 years. He was sincerely interested in the people around him and had an amazing memory for the details of their lives. He also trained and mentored many sales and customer service professionals throughout his career.

He loved tennis, playing many times a week for much of his adult life. He was a patient instructor and passed on his love for the game to his kids.

He planted many a pine tree anywhere he could. Some he found while vacationing in Michigan. He put a salt lick in the backyard to attract deer, and it worked!

Pat was an avid boater navigating the Maumee River and Lake Erie with ease. Pat and Sally were active members of the Indian Hill Boat Club for many years. He was a Free Spirit.

Pat loved to travel with his family especially along the Florida Gulf Coast and in Northern Michigan.

Pat loved his dogs and walked them at Oak Openings and Fort Meigs. There was Dutchess, Cookie, Sasha, Molly and Emmett. Dutchess ruined many porch screens, but he still loved her.

When it became difficult to care for big dogs (which he preferred), he volunteered by walking dogs at the Humane Society. Pat and Sally also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and contributed to several charities. They gave back.

Perhaps Patrick's greatest achievement was the example he set to his children. He lived a full life. He valued listening over talking. He was honest and fair, and treated people with dignity and respect. He will be missed.

Flower orders will be sent to Patrick's wife Sara in Claire Bridge at Brookdale, 121 Wintergarden Rd, Bowling Green, OH 43402 and memorial contributions may be gifted to the Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Ave, Maumee, OH 43537

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deck-Hanneman Funeral-Home, Bowling Green.

Patrick was my favorite cousin. He was kind, fun and generous. Though I'm saddened at his loss, I can only imagine what a grand reunion he's enjoying with his dear dad Chick and mom Francis. Love to the Pat Davisons, Charlie

The Davison Family,
Many wonderful memories over the years along with many laughs. Mr. Davison was always so very nice. My folks always spoke well of the Davison Family...I agree.
Big hugs from Columbus.
