Paul R. Kegg

Paul R. Kegg of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was 86. Paul was born to Frances and Clare Kegg on March 19, 1935, in west Toledo. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School. Paul married Mary "Sue" Long on November 17, 1956 and worked for Seaway FoodTown until retirement in 1997. Anyone who knew Paul knew that his passions included family, football, fishing and friends. He was well known in the high school football community, serving as an assistant coach for many of the area schools for over 60 years including the head coaching position at Sylvania Southview in the 1980's Paul enjoyed fishing at the family cottage in the Irish Hills and at the neighborhood community lake, often entering tournaments with friends. Paul's family will remember him most for the love and care that he always gave to his wife. We are sure that he was greeted in heaven, "Well done my good and faithful servant".

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sue; brother, George (Jackie) Kegg; daughters, Robin (Mike) Kuehne, Randi (Mick) Dier, Kerry (Jeff) Burmeister and Kelly Palermo; son, Rick (Rich) Kegg; as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 10th, at The Community of Christ Lutheran Church on Finzel Road in Whitehouse, Ohio. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:30. Anyone wishing to make donations can give to the American Cancer Society or The Community of Christ Lutheran Church.
