Paul D.
Paul D. Lafferty, 89, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Paul was born on November 25, 1924, in Toledo, OH, to Clell and Ethel Lafferty. He was a 1942 graduate of Libbey High School. Paul was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving with the 365th Station Hospital in Europe.
Paul spent 42 years in Product Engineering with the Jeep Corporation, retiring in 1985. He continued to work as a consultant with the Chrysler Corporation until 2008.
Paul enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Gerry (Larry) Dominique of Northwood and Janet (Arvin) Perlman of Commerce Twp, MI; sons, Steven (Sandi) of Sylvania and Kevin (Robin) Lafferty of Waterville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Larry and Julie Mauter and family of Temperance, Kirk and Rhonda Sanford and family of Elizabeth, CO and Michele Bechdol of Toledo.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verna; children, Susan Kay, Nancy and Paul Lafferty Jr.; sister, Helen Hineline and special friend, Marilyn Mauter.
Services were conducted by the Reeb Funeral Home and were private.
Those wishing to give memorials in Paul's name are asked to consider the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland 20814. The family would like to thank the Parkcliffe Community of Northwood and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care they provided in Paul's final days. He was kind, giving, hard working man who was always quick with a joke and a smile. We will always love and miss you Dad. Online condolences may be offered to the family at

I had the pleasure of working with Paul at Jeep in Toledo and the Tech center in Southfield, Mi. He certainly was a fine person.
