Philomena Horvath Obituary
October 14, 1934 - August 18, 2021
Philomena "Chubby" (Migliori) M. Horvath, age 86, of Waterville, OH, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2021. This beautiful Italian woman, born October 14,1934, to Angelo and Filomena (Monaco) Migliori. She was the oldest of 7 children, born at the back of her father's grocery store in Woodville, Ohio. At an early age, she was encouraged by her father to play and teach accordion. She was a proud alumnus of Notre Dame Academy, class of 1952. At 18, she traveled to Italy to study music while visiting her father's family in the countryside.
Philomena instilled in her 5 children the love of family and the love of Italian cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially at the park and many holiday celebrations. In 1990, she married her husband Joe and settled in Waterville, OH. Philomena and Joe enjoyed traveling to the southern states, especially Pensacola, Florida. She also enjoyed taking trips with her siblings and closest girlfriends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Anthony Reinbolt, Joseph Reinbolt, and Christopher Kansorka; brothers, Johnny Migliori, Mario Migliori.
Philomena is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph Horvath; daughters, Lori (Mick) Lucas, Lisa Reinbolt; grandchildren, Nicole (Rachel), Scott (Jason), Monica (Ryan), Evette (Tyler) and Michael; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Jack; siblings, Joe (Rosalie) Migliori, Angie McAlear, Mary (Steve) Clear, Frank (Becky) Migliori; sister-in-law, Jenny Migliori; many nieces and nephews, and close friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Hospice nurses for their compassionate care.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43614, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 310 Elizabeth St., Maumee, OH 43537 on Friday, September 3,2021, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
