Raymond Forcier Obituary
Raymond Julian Forcier Sr., 79, passed away April 18, 2025, in his home peacefully. He was born on July 30, 1945, in Newport, Vermont, to Roland and Jeanette (Trahan) Forcier. Raymond was a commercial truck driver for Liquid Air Corp, retiring in 1995. Raymond worked as a butcher at various stores in the Toledo area, followed by security work.
Raymond was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Ray, along with his son, enjoyed working at the church festival's beer tent. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV, playing golf at various courses in the area, and playing Saturday night cards with friends. He also cherished taking his grandchildren to the pool and spending time with all of them.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Forcier, that passed away August of 2024; daughter, Suzette Marie Forcier; and parents, Roland and Jeanette Forcier. Surviving is his son, Raymond Forcier Jr.; his brothers, Thomas Forcier, Peter (Eva) Forcier, Bernard (Cyd) Forcier; sister, Joanna Forcier; grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney, Alexis, Devon, Savanna, Darian, Tyler; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott funeral Home, at 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. on Byrne Rd., Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3-7 p.m, followed by the scripture service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian burial at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a luncheon at the Holy Family Center at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns.
