I didn't know Ray extremely well, but in the time I did know him I was mightily impressed by his character. God rest your soul, Ray, and condolences to your family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Squire Family. Ray and Pat were friends of mine during the time we were members at Trinity and later St. Marks. Their children were students when I taught at McKinley. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Ray was a wonderful man. He was my next door neighbor. Him and his wife are the best neighbors you could ever ask for. Always there to lend a hand, wherever needed, without question, or judgment. He helped fix my front door after a break in and the fence after my dogs got loose, following a downed tree in my yard, due to a storm. He was always sneaking over and cutting grass close to my flower bed and working in my driveway on the cracks. He will be missed. It won't be the same looking over to his back porch and not seeing him there giving bones to my dogs and having nice talks. May he sore high up to Heaven without trouble, or delay, into Jesus waiting arms. God bless & many prayers & love to his wife Pat.

Mr. Squire taught me (or tried to) teach me chemistry at Start in 65/66. I learned that I could even though I was not superb, I could persevere and be adequately scientifically literate in the field. This has been a life lesson that has served me my whole life. Thank you Mr, Squire.

Dear Pat, I was so glad that Hugh sent the news of Ray's passing. And sad to hear that news. You and your family are in my prayers. I choose to remember your 50th anniversary and the photo you used for that event as my central image of you and Ray. I miss you and send lots of love.

Mr. Squire was my chemistry teacher when I went to Start HS in'81/'82. I very much liked his class and I thought he taught very well. I liked his methods and his sense of humor. My condolences to the family and friends.
