Reneé Rochelle Nicotra, age 80, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side Thursday, July 24, 2025. Reneé was born December 16, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. A lifelong lover of cooking, Reneé found joy in sharing meals and memories. She worked in the kitchen at Raceway Park and generously volunteered her culinary talents for bingo nights and annual festivals at Sacred Heart Church. To Reneé, food was love - and her kitchen was always open to family and friends. She had a passion for shopping and an impeccable eye for fashion. Reneé was also a talented crocheter, and many babies were wrapped in the warmth of her handmade creations. Fiercely devoted to her family, Reneé was an outspoken advocate and constant cheerleader for her children, grandchildren, and anyone who needed support. Her warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her

Reneé is survived by her loving husband, Bruce, whom she married February 8, 1974; children, Christina Cavaliere (Brett Shinaver), Vincent (Sherri) Nicotra; grandchildren, Nicholas Cavaliere, James Cavaliere, and Jackson Shinaver; brother, Daniel (Christine) Monaghan; brother-in-law, Gary Nicotra. Preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Monaghan; sister-in-law, Denise Nicotra; and brothers-in-law, Paul "Nicky" Nicotra, Michael Nicotra, Arthur "Buddy" Nicotra.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Funeral services Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Reneé's memory are asked to consider the Donor's Choice, as Reneé was a very generous supporter of many organizations.
