Mother Reola Carter
Mother Reola Carter-Harris, 88, of Toledo, OH passed away, Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in her home. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and was the widow of Mr. James Harris.
She is survived by sons, Alvin (Linda) of Syracuse, NY and Clifford (Thyra) Haynes of Atlanta, GA and James Harris of Toledo; daughter, Valerie D. (Harold) Clark of District Heights, MD; 9 grand and 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Theophelis Carter of Toledo; sister, Zola Bowens of Washington, D.C., and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends.
Visitation with expressions of love and remarks will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at The C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel, 1629 Nebraska Avenue. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, preceded by Family Hour/Wake Services at 12 noon at The Beacon Church, 1664 W. Bancroft Street. Pastor Belinda Akpassa, Officiant.

I am at a loss for adequate words to express my sadness for you. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing your mom and I know heaven just received one of the most special angels. You are a reflection of your mom in the way you treat people with respect and empathy. Not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. I am so sorry for your loss.

Our sympathy to the family of Mother Harris. We met her years ago while visiting my sister and brother-in-law's church (St. Paul COGIC.) Will always remember her "good" cooking. She was like a member of our family.
