Rhonda Bonita
Rhonda Bonita Hands, MA, NCC, CAP, RMHCI, departed this life on October 12, 2014, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Rhonda entered this life August 1, 1955 to the union of her parents, Martha and Hayes Hands, whom she has joined in Paradise.
Rhonda married Karl E. Burroughs July 23, 1972, and to this union their 3 children were created. In her memory she leaves behind two sons, Karl H. Burroughs (Stacy) and Kashe Burroughs Sr., and daughter, Kwonda Burroughs with grandchildren, Kashaya Burroughs, Kashe Burroughs Jr., Keyaira Burroughs, Karl Burroughs Jr., and Kameren Burroughs; along with special son, Snyder.
She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Ronnie, Reginald (Teresa), Robbie (Darlene) and Roderick (Kenya) Hands; special friends, Emily Wallace and Wanda Newbern; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Homegoing services will be held at Tate Funeral Service at 3302 Lagrange St. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 with Wake Services at 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m.

My heart is heavy and deeply saddened as I learned of Rhonda's passing today. You will be deeply missed my friend. As one of your mentors, I often found myself being mentored by you. You always shared such deep insights on life that I truly appreciated. I will treasure your gift to me ("In the Spirit" by Susan Taylor) and trust that you are still with us in spirit. It was a book that had touched your life and you passed it on to me so I may be touched as well. I'm so happy that my last words to you (on September 21, 2014) were "I am proud of you." Rest in perfect peace my friend. Rest in peace...
