Richard Creekmore Obituary

Richard F. Creekmore "Dick"

It is with a heavy heart that we want to announce the passing of Richard F. Creekmore, "Dick," who was the beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, on May 25th, 2025, departed this world surrounded by his family.

Dick lived a full life enjoying time with all those he loved. His passion for lawn care and irrigation touched so many lives. He always loved meeting and talking with his customers. But his laughter and smile are what everyone will remember.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1951, Dick worked for his father's Sohio gas station in the Colony area. In the late 70's he started working as a mechanic for the Toledo Edison and retired 23 years later. He had always wanted to own his own business. So, in 1999 he started Just Another Lawn Service Inc. that in later years transformed into Creekmore's Just Another Lawn Service Inc. He started with just 100 business flyers and a dream. From there he built his company to become a leading business in the lawncare and irrigation industry. Though all of this was in no comparison to the love he had for his family and friends. Whether it was enjoying a grandchild's soccer game or softball game to watching them preform to just enjoying time in the company of all that he loved and those who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, love of his life for 42 years. His four sons are Jason Creekmore (Alisa) Toledo, Quinton R. Creekmore (Karen) Holland, Dustin A. Vanderende (Melanie) Van Buren, and Davin B. Creekmore (Nicole) Toledo. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Addison, Danica, Megan, Quinnlyn, Evan, Gracie, Maddison, Tyler, Logan, Camryn; and great-grandson, Austin; his brother, Tom Creekmore (Beth) Maumee; sister, Dianna Liwo (Edward); sister-in-law, Becky Goff (Lyman); brother in-law, Michael Stout (Laura), all in Toledo; and sister in-law, Christina Stout, Michigan. He loved and was loved by many special nieces and nephews. Also, his beloved friends, Karen Symanski, Larry and Joyce Ulery. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Tom and Carolyn Creekmore; stepmother, Louise Creekmore; father and mother-in-law, Lee and Rita Stout.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held on June 4th, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Michael's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4718 Brittany Rd, Toledo, OH 43615, officiated by The Reverend Gayle Cantinella.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Vicki & family. Dick has been our neighbor for the past 20 years. I truly don´t believe he had a mean bone in his body. He had such a compassionate heart and saw good in everyone. He will truly be missed. May God welcome him into His Heavenly Kingdom.

Our heart goes out to the family. We met Mr. and Mrs. Creekmore 9 years ago when we became neighbors. We called on him for a lawn irrigation issue we were having and he was so happy to help....his smile said it all. You will all stay in our prayers. LOVE THE ANDERSONS.
