Your dad will always be an honored member of the Special Olympics family. He touched all of our lives with his kind and gentle soul. He was so proud of you and all your accomplishments and I know he loved you very much as he did your brothers and sister. Feel his warm hug around you as you bowl in Columbus in June. Uncle Rick had a mean jump shot! I remember once he took on this buff guy in three games of HORSE at a KOA campground basketball court and put him to shame each round. Afterwards Uncle Rick said, "He didn't want any of Vanilla Thunder". We love our Uncle Rick and are grateful for the time he shared with us.

Being able to see both of you after being away for so long and being able to meet the rest of your family and share some stories and a few laughs was comforting for me. Rick will always remain in our memories and in our hearts.
