Richard Throne Obituary

THRONE Richard "Dick" Leslie Richard "Dick" Leslie Throne, age 86, of Toledo, was born on March 30, 1920 and passed away at his home on May 24, 2006. Richard was born to and was preceded in death by his parents, Helen M. and Leslie A. Throne. Richard worked as a warehouse supervisor for the Kroger Company for twenty-eight years, retiring from Foodtown in 1985. Richard, along with his wife, Dorothy, enjoyed traveling and camping with the Jayco Travel Club and were members of the National Campers and Hikers Association. They wintered at their home in Clearwater, Florida, where he enjoyed fishing. Richard is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Dorothy C. (Martin) Throne; daughter, Sandra K. (Richard) Fisher; son, Robert L. (Candy) Throne; grandchildren, Dana (Ronald) Labeau, Kelly (Michael) Homolka, Renee (Scott) Myers, Nanci Moseley, Brent (Tammy) Throne and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Evan and Jillian Labeau, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Mason and Reagen Homolka, Caleb and Adam Myers, Michael, Jared, Bryce and Grace Moseley, Taylor, Brittani, Haleigh and Nathan Throne. Family and friends may visit Friday 5-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-11 a.m. with funeral services following at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey). Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials and donations be made to Hospice of Northwestern Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for their kind support.
